ABOUT US
WEY calls on its members to support our community through volunteering efforts, planning fundraisers and organizing activities for members to build strong ties to our community and to one another.
OUR OBJECTIVE
The objective of Women for Evanston Youth is to promote acquaintance, to make a united effort toward the development of friendly community service and to benefit youth wherever possible.
IN OUR COMMUNITY
Look around Evanston and you'll find WEY's touch. Whether at the YWCA, in scholarships at ETHS, leading the 4th of July Parade or volunteering at ESCCA, our efforts are woven into our community.
OUR PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS
Our giving efforts are reflected through:

-
Four scholarships to high school seniors
-
Continued sponsorship of the Chicago Highlanders Pipe Band in the Evanston 4th of July Parade, which was founded by Women for Evanston Youth (formerly North End Mothers' Club)
-
Fortnightly dance classes, all proceeds going to our philanthropy
-
Other philanthropic efforts throughout the year to unite around our common goal
-
Grants to community businesses and youth organizations

In 2020, Women for Evanston Youth, as one of Evanston’s oldest philanthropic organizations, continued its tradition of giving back to the community and supported 24 Evanston organizations. In keeping with the Club’s mission, each of the organizations provide services to support the youth of Evanston.
2022 COMMITTEES
WEY is led by a Board of Directors, which oversees a series of committees. The Board includes five officers and a number of Committee Heads, who meet each month to review operations and plan future events. Committees include board members as well as interested members. Committees meet as needed. New members are encouraged to join a committee, but this is NOT a requirement.
